Some Causes
and Effects of European Union
In total, there are twenty-seven countries in
European Union. So, what is it? European Union is a community which was founded
after exposed to the devastation in the Second World War, aims to provide consistency
and renewal the economy of European countries. At first, it was just an
economic union but afterwards, European Union developed itself and became an
important community in the world. Even though there are some causes of European
Union, there are also several effects of it on the participating countries.
As
a beginning, wanting to gather European countries under the same roof is the
first cause of European Union. Because of gathering, this situation gives opportunity
to European Union to be stronger with the power of participating countries. To
illustrate, Germany participated in European Union in 1990. After that,
democratization process began in the center of Europe and the relationships
between European Union and the states of Central and Eastern Europe were built
up.
Furthermore,
the second cause is wanting to create a common commercial policy against the
countries which are not the member of European Union. Also, this causes the
participating countries to gain strength among themselves. In other words, this
case can be called like trying to create a common market.
As
I said in the introduction paragraph, there are both causes and effects of
European Union. Some causes of it were examined and now let us look at its
effects on the participating countries.
To
begin with, education system is the first effect of European Union. In that
field, the purpose among the participating countries is to enhance the quality
of education and to benefit from these countries’ different education system.
What is more, if European Union knows the other countries’ education system,
the differences between itself and those countries can be discussed and
compared.
Moreover,
among the participating countries, a good kind of relationship has been associated
in the economic field and it provided an opportunity to the emergence of Euro.
Thus, all of these countries use Euro as their currency. This situation is
considered as a daring enterprise, too.
All
in all, besides European Union’s causes in the view of gathering European
countries and creating a common trade policy, there are also its effects on the
participating countries in relation to having education system and using the
same currency. From my point of view, it is not really necessary to be a member
of European Union. Since, it has also negative effects on the participating
countries although I did not mention them in this essay.
